Sea Week Expo 2024



Join us for a Seaweek celebration on Saturday 9th March at the Gaiety Hall in Akaroa. Doors open at midday, with events running all afternoon.


We have stalls with family fun activities and marine science education.

 

From 1 pm to 4.30 pm: 

The Blue Cradle Foundation. 

The Helps Pōhatu Conservation Trust

Pōhatu Penguins

EOS Ecology working with Ōnuku with Fresh water and Harbour health.

DOC- Katy 

The Akaroa Conservation Club

The Akaroa Harbour Marine Protection Society 

Regenerate Banks peninsula.

Small ocean life Art/Photography exhibition 

Marine science posters - with the scientist to talk to in person.

From the edge of When. 

Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust - has organised the Austro Carina to have a Community debrief stall about the shipwreck in Shell Bay.

Duvauchelle school – Sea week display.

Aommy- Jewellery stall.

And Sea Week arts and crafts stalls - Jewellery, paintings, crafts etc.

 

At 5 pm we celebrate with a variety show.  Fancy sea week Dress up. Performances from Dance, instrumental, and Singing.
