Many residents turned out to support Friends of Banks Peninsula as they presented their comprehensive wastewater submission to the Council hearing panel on 13th October.
Brent Martin and Suky Thompson shared the groups concerns with the current proposals, and introduced an alternative solution working towards long term re-use to supplement Akaroa's limited water supply. Pru Steven QC spoke about the consentibility issues the Council must address, and Tektus engineering stresses, via a live link from Auckland, the need for the Council take the I&I issue seriously.
