The Christchurch City Council have now announced the following: “The results are in from our test drilling, and it appears deep-bore injection is not a suitable method for disposing of Akaroa’s treated wastewater.”

The Working Party is once again looking at alternative ideas, with the Council due to report back to the Environment Court on March 1st with an update on progress. CCC will also be having a hui with Ngai Tahu parties in January.
