Akaroa Wastewater Public Consultation Underway, 3 April to 30 April

Dealing with Akaroa’s wastewater is a huge issue and it’s important we get it right.

Friends of Banks Peninsula has been working on behalf of residents affected by the Council’s wastewater proposals since November and participated in the Community Board Working Party. We are pleased that the Council will now consider re-use of the water in Akaroa as a result.

We are concerned the consultation document released by the Council is hard to understand and does not propose any specific solutions for the options it contains. We are drafting a submission we believe will achieve a beneficial and sustainable solution. You will be able read this on our website from Thursday April 13.

Join us for a project update AND the Friends of Banks Peninsula draft submission presentation and discussion

Gaiety Supper Room Easter Monday, 17th April at 10am

Please be a part of forming a good solution by supporting Friends of Banks Peninsula AND making your own submission. We will provide assistance at the meeting for people who would like to make their own submission.
