On the morning of the first Working Party meeting the committee received a more detailed report from Beca on the Thacker land proposal, including a map of possible pond sites and irrigation areas with several pages of analysis. To receive such a detailed report few hours before the meeting was a huge shock to everyone, and left little or no time to try and prepare any sort of defence of the proposal. Robinsons Bay residents were quickly informed of the situation and representatives were able to pull together a presentation.
