The FRIENDS of Banks Peninsula Wastewater steering committee has been working steadily in the background to analyse the submissions to the consultation and to work through the responses to our OIA (Official Information Act) requests.
Our analysis of submissions show only 12% of submissions favoured one of the land based disposal options in the consultation. A staggering 88% wanted something else – principally a purple pipe reuse system, harbour outfall or another idea such as potable reuse.
